In order for the plant to bloom beautifully and luxuriantly, it is necessary to fertilize it properly. A way that will require almost no effort from us can help. Here is a homemade fertilizer for hydrangeas. It is enough to bury the product under the plant, which usually ends up in the bin.

Garden hydrangea: care
Hydrangeas are one of the most popular garden shrubs. They owe their fame primarily to their unique appearance, delighting the eyes of their owners with colorful flowers, varying in color and shape depending on the variety. Inflorescences can be admired throughout the summer until autumn.
Garden hydrangea: requirements
The garden hydrangea usually reaches a height of about 1.5 m. The plant has, above all, high soil requirements. It grows best and fastest on fertile and humus soils. The soil for hydrangeas should be acidic, with a pH of 4.5 to 5.5. If its leaves turn light green or yellow, it is a signal that the pH of the soil is too alkaline. Then add acid garden peat to the soil.
When and how to fertilize hydrangeas?
Homemade fertilizer for hydrangeas will be created with the help of a product that most often ends up in the trash can. It’s a banana peel. This should be thoroughly washed beforehand and then cut into pieces. Then dig a small hole near the hydrangea. However, extreme caution should be exercised during this procedure. The hole in the ground should be made at such a distance as not to disturb the roots of the plant.
Then just throw the banana peel into the hole and bury it. The phosphorus and potassium contained in it will nourish the plant in no time, encouraging it to bloom even more intensively
